Ed Johnson has been painting and exhibiting his works from New England to the Chesapeake Bay area for over 30 years. For the last 25 years he has spent summers on Monhegan Island in Maine, where he maintains a studio & gallery. His summer home on Monhegan Island is pictured above. Ed spends his winters in North Easton, Massachusetts.

Mediums
Ed has the unique ability to present his numerous works in both watercolor and oils. Each is an original. As a lifelong resident of New England, Ed paints a dramatic range of settings, hues and tones in his peaceful seascapes. He captures incredible detail whether it's in his vintage sailing ships, sturdy dories resting on the beach or the flight of his distinct sea birds. His generes span a lifetime of experiences along the rugged coast of Maine, in the foliage-laden Appalachian range and in the rich farmlands of New England.
